Your child's first visit, step by step

A first visit takes about 45 minutes, and you stay with your child the whole time.

  1. 01

    Step 1: Request a visit

Use the form or call us. Tell us the best day, how you'd like us to reply and which language you prefer.

  2. 02

Step 2: We check your benefits

If your child has dental insurance, we check the plan's benefits and tell you what it says it covers before you come in.

  3. 03

Step 3: Fill in the forms

Your child's health history goes on forms we give you for the first visit, not through this website. Paper forms are there if you prefer them.

  4. 04

    Step 4: A tour first

Your child sees the room, sits in the chair and holds the mirror, while someone explains each tool before anyone uses it.

  5. 05

    Step 5: A gentle exam

The dentist counts teeth and checks gums and bite. X-rays are taken only if the dentist decides your child needs them.

  6. 06

Step 6: A plan for you

You leave knowing what we saw and when to come back, with a written estimate for any treatment and time to ask questions.

Before you come in

What should we bring?

Your insurance card if there is one, a photo ID and a list of your child's medicines. A favorite stuffed toy or book can help.

Do I put medical details on this website?

No. Our contact form asks for no medical details. Your child's health history goes on the forms we give you for the first visit.

Can you get records from our last dentist?

Yes. Give us the previous office's contact information and we'll request the records, with your written permission, before the visit.

Ready to book a first visit?

Tell us a good time and how to reach you. We'll take it from there.
