Healthy smiles for growing kids

Three general dentists who see children every day. Your child meets the chair, the tools and the people first, and we show each step before we take it.

Where little smiles come first

A child's first visits shape how they feel about the dentist for years. At Little Grins Studio, general dentists who see children every day show each step before they take it, answer your child's questions, and stop when a child needs a break.

We plan visits around your child's age and pace, from a first tooth to the teen years, and we tell you what we see and what comes next.

What we do for growing smiles

Checkups, cleanings and the small things that protect a child's teeth as they grow. Every visit starts with a talk and ends with a plan for you and your child.

  • A treatment room with red dental chairs beside floor-to-ceiling city windows

    Growth checks

At each checkup the dentist looks at how teeth are coming in and how the jaws are growing, and tells you what to watch for.

  • Open shelving with framed photos and plants divides a room with a dental chair behind it

    Gentle cleanings

Our hygienists clean at your child's pace, explain what each tool does before they use it, and let your child pick a flavor of polish.

  • A mother holds her toddler as they brush their teeth together at a mirror

    Sealants

A thin coating on the chewing surfaces of back teeth, when the dentist decides your child's teeth would benefit. It goes on without a needle and helps keep food and bacteria out of the grooves.

  • A doctor in glasses shows a dental model to a young girl at a table

    Early bite checks

We look at spacing and bite at checkups. When a child may benefit from an orthodontist's opinion, we say so and refer you; we don't start braces ourselves.

  • Dental handpieces resting on a unit over a blue drape

    Urgent visits

A knocked-out tooth or a toothache? Call us and we'll tell you what we can do today. Trouble breathing or swallowing, or swelling in the face or neck, is a 911 call.

How fees work

What a visit costs depends on your child's plan, the treatment and the dentist's exam. Here is how we handle each part, and what we put in writing.

  • Insurance we work with

We bill PPO dental plans and file the claim for you. Whether we are in network depends on your plan, so call us and we'll tell you before you book.

    • PPO and indemnity plans: we file the claim

    • DHMO plans: ask us, they work differently

    • Medicaid and CHIP: call us and we'll answer plainly

  • If you pay yourself

Without insurance you pay the fee for the visit, and we tell you the fee before treatment starts. Financing is offered by third-party lenders. Approval and terms are set by the lender.

  • Receipts for reimbursement

If you pay us and your plan reimburses you, we give you an itemized statement to send to the plan. What the plan pays back is the plan's decision.

  • We give a written estimate in advance to anyone paying without insurance, and to anyone who asks. It lists the treatment, the visits it takes and what it will cost.

    • Ask when you schedule or at the visit

    • In writing, before treatment starts

  • Checking your benefits

Before the first visit our front desk checks what your child's plan says it covers and tells you. If the plan's own estimate differs from ours, we show you both.

A written estimate says what we expect to bill. If your plan's final payment is different, we explain the difference before you pay.
